Steven Ross – Executive Principal

Steve holds certification as a Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) as well as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He is a specialist in Business Continuity Management, IT Disaster Recovery Planning and Information Security. He has implemented Business Continuity Management programs, disaster recovery plans and resilience preparations for numerous banks, government agencies and industrial corporations. Prior to founding Risk Masters, Steve was with Deloitte & Touche as the leader of their Business Continuity Management practice. In recent years, his focus has been on the resilience and recoverability of large corporate business and technology environments with particular interests in establishing business continuity programs, designing resilient data centers and planning for pandemic response. He is editor of the multi-volume series, e-Commerce Security, and author of several of the books in the series, including e-Commerce Security: Business Continuity Planning. His book, Creating a Culture of Security, was published in 2011.

Eric Beck – Principal

Eric has more than 20 years of business continuity consulting experience across a wide range of clients and industries. During his consulting career, Eric has delivered a broad range of consulting expertise in areas that include strategic planning, business continuity program development, risk assessment, business impact analysis, continuity strategy definition, testing, and quality assurance. Most recently, Eric led Protiviti's U.S. Northeast BCM Practice where he held the title of Associate Director. Prior to joining Protiviti, Eric was a member the Deloitte BCM Practice and a member of their Global BCM Leadership Team. Eric also served as a Practice Manager with EMC Corporation where he was a key contributor in developing EMC's Business Continuity Planning Methodology. Eric was also employed with Comdisco Continuity Services where he served as a Principle/Project Director within the company's Technology Integration Services Practice, along with five years as a Senior Consultant responsible for delivery of business continuity and disaster recovery engagements. Eric holds an MBA degree and is a Certified Business Continuity Professional. He is also frequent speaker at business continuity conferences and seminars, and has been published in industry magazines such as Continuity Insights and the ISACA Journal.

Allan Cytryn – Principal

Allan has spent more than 30 years as a senior Information Technology executive and has extensive experience in strategy, operations, technology and business transformation. During his 15 years with Deloitte, his responsibilities included Regional CIO, National Director of Technology, and Director of Applications Development. Prior to Allan’s time at Deloitte, he was the CIO for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett for 10 years. He was also Vice President of Corporate Finance at Goldman Sachs. Throughout his career, Mr. Cytryn has led business and IT organizations through rapid operational and technological transformations and in adopting new and innovative technologies in support of key strategic business objectives. He has also led recoveries from the largest terrorist attacks in NY and London, the 9/11 attack and the NatWest Tower Bombing. He has published works on innovative applications that perform computer-assisted facilities design and planning.

Stacy Olewiler – Associate Principal

Stacy has 28 years in the IT industry with extensive experience in world wide data center operations, risk management and analysis, and disaster recovery testing and implementation. He also has an in depth understanding of enterprise operations, architecture, design, capacity planning, monitoring, evaluating, and testing. During his career, Stacy has worked in retail, manufacturing, and insurance industries, authoring software solutions, designing systems installations, developing procedures and implementing system enhancements. Stacy has assisted clients with the assessment, development, training and testing of IT Disaster Recovery Plans. He specializes in large-scale diversified environments with heavy reliance on UNIX, Windows and VMware platforms. He has spoken at the continuity Insights Management Conference (New York).

James Gursha – Associate Principal

Jim has broad-based experience in enterprise operations, architecture, design, specification, implementation, performance and event monitoring, capacity management and testing. He has worked in enterprise technology environments for public sector, retail, investment banks, hedge funds, and international money center banks specializing in trading systems, security movement, and decision support systems. Jim has strong expertise in analyzing and understanding the unique business requirements of end users and applying cost efficient technology towards the management and implementation of complete solutions. He has recently been the chief technical architect for multiple clients including developing a nationwide Enterprise Disaster Recovery program and reviewing the infrastructure of the primary data centers for an industrial corporation. He has also led a review of the technical infrastructure recoverability capabilities for a nationwide manufacturer and recommended alternative recovery strategies.

   Advisory Consultants

Robert Parker

Robert is a specialist in information privacy, audit and control. As a Deloitte & Touche partner in Canada, Robert had responsibility for the Firm’s Privacy and Business Continuity practices as well as providing technology audit support for a number of key financial audit clients. He was a founding member of, and served for 10 years on, the AICPA-CICA joint US – Canada Privacy Task Force, a committee that developed and maintains Generally Accepted Privacy Principles. These principles provide a framework for assessing compliance with United States, Canadian and global privacy legislation. Robert holds the CMC (Certified Management Consultant) and CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls) designations.  He is a past International President of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and the IT Governance Institute. He continues to serve with both organizations as well as being on the board of directors of the University of Waterloo Centre for Information Integrity and Systems Assurance.

Harvey Betan

Harvey has almost two decades of Business Continuity experience coupled with roughly twenty years in a former IT career. Harvey was involved in recoveries after both World Trade Center events (1993 and 2001) as a technical lead in corporate crisis management teams. Harvey has provided consulting assistance to many organizations in manufacturing, financial, health care, NGO and non-profit arenas. He has presented at almost all national and regional BCP conferences at one time or another, and published articles in Continuity Insights, Continuity Magazine (the BCI), and Disaster Recovery Journal, served on a panel at Climate Change Conference (UN GAID) in United Nations Headquarters. He is an active member of the ACP and is on their Speaker List, having presented at ISACA and ACP chapters in NY, CT, PA and Boston.

Edumundo Llopis

Edmundo is an Information Technology and Operations consultant, with more than 30 years of experience leading high impact projects in the financial services, government and hospitality sectors where he has demonstrated his ability as a leader and visionary.  Prior to entering consulting, Edmundo held executive level positions in Information Technology, transforming and managing risk.  As Chief Architect / CTO, Edmundo led a global bank's Corporate Technology Architecture team. In that capacity, he focused on architecture and system development with enterprise-wide implications incorporating information security and risk (credit and operational)  management programs, including business continuity processes.

Sandra Lambert

Sandra specializes in cybersecurity and business continuity consulting, with an international clientele. She is an internationally published author and lecturer on information systems security. Prior to full-time consulting, she completed a 5-year assignment at Citibank as Vice President and CISO with responsibility for developing the corporate information security program. She was also associated with Security Pacific National Bank for 15 years, where she created the Information Security function and served as Vice President and CISO. Sandra is the former Chairperson of the Board, Founder and founding President of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA). She has held a four-year term on the National Computer System Security and Privacy Advisory Board established by the Computer Security Act of 1987, and a six-year term on the NIST Information Technology Lab Assessment Board.
